Lauren Schwartzman is a documentary film editor based in Oakland, California, USA.

Lauren has worked on numerous documentary films as an editor, assistant editor, archival producer, associate producer, and post-production coordinator. With a keen sense for storytelling and style, and an educational background across the arts, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences, she is able to deftly wield both heart and intellect to craft films with lasting impact. Her leadership skills and experience across the technical and logistical side of post-production are an asset to any project.

Lauren holds a Master of Journalism degree in documentary film from the U.C. Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Creative Writing from Oberlin College. Her master's thesis film, Dust Rising, won a Student Academy Award, was shortlisted for the BAFTA Student Film Awards, and screened in festivals across the U.S.
